Test 1 in Planetary Astronomy
31 points This first test covers material in chapters 1 and 3
There will be 16 multiple-choice questions which will be taken from the two quizzes that you have already taken.
There will be one five-point diagram which will require you to identify the places on the celestial sphere.
Finally there will be two five-point essay questions. The first concerning the apparent motions of the sky, and the second on the techniques for observing eclipses.
If you do not tell me by phone or e-mail at least twenty-four hours in advance that you will miss this test, I will not consider a request for a makeup test. The only exception, of course, would be in the case of illness or emergency.
